The City of Seymour
has a mayor-council type of government. The two alderpersons from each of
the three aldermanic districts, and the mayor, comprise the City of Seymour common
council. All meetings are open to the public and you are invited to
attend and observe your city government in operation. The city government
has sub committees that meet monthly.

The city continues to develop growth of all its
citizens by expanding its Industrial Park and offering City governmental
services to facilitate the development and expansion of its industries.

Revolving Loan Fund
|
|
|
|
This local fund will provide an alternate source of
financing for eligible businesses wanting to expand or relocate to the
City of Seymour.
The objectives of the fund are to:

|
· Promote industrial and
commercial development allowing employment opportunities and retention of
permanent jobs in the city.
· Encourage new private investment
in the city.
· Encourage retention and expansion of
existing business and industry.

Seymour
Industrial Park Free land available with conditional
requirements. 30 acres available in a Tax Incremental Financing
(TIF) district to help provide municipal and infrastructure improvements

The Department of Public Works handles the sanitary
sewerage and water, solid waste (garbage), building / zoning permits, and
also houses and maintains city equipment in th Municipal garage.

Seymour Wastewater Treatment Plan has an annual
Hydraulic loading of 485,000 gallons per day. Its average hydraulic
design capacity is 1.1 million gallons. The capacity is adequate for new
industry.

|
|
Seymour Waterworks has two wells for source. The
pumping capacity is equal to 1.8 million gallons per day. The average
daily consumption is 375,000 gallons. The capacity is adequate for new
industry.

Solid Waste (Garbage) and Recycling

|
|
|
The city of Seymour
provides industrial, commercial and residential refuse collection on a
weekly basis. Outagamie County provides residential
curbside recycling on a bi-weekly basis.

has a great volunteer fire and rescue department. there are approximately
24 volunteer firemen and 15 volunteer rescue workers. The city is
equipped with all equipment needed for any emergency. The city's fire ISO
rating is a 4. CPR and defib services are provided to the public.

The Muehl Public Library is proud to be a cultural and
community center in Seymour.
the library has a collection of 25,000 materials that includes videos,
DVD's, audiotapes, books, magazines, and large print books. The Library
belongs to the Outagamie Waupaca Library system, this cooperative
endeavor enables patrons access to over 1,600,000 items. The Library
offers internet stations for public use, storytimes for young children
throughout the week, and adult book group, computer lessons taught by
high school students, after school activities including the Accelerated
Reader Collection, and a summer reading program. A "Friends
Group" meets monthly to plan activities which benefit the Library
and the community. A meeting room is available for group acitivity and
community meetings.

served by three clinics, Bellin Health Family
Medical Center,
Aurora Health
Center, and the Good Shepherd
complex houses a satellite clinic of the Prevea medical group of Green Bay. In
addition, the Seymour
community is serviced by a full service pharmacy, two chiropractic
clinics, two dentistry offices, an optometric clinic and two nursing home
facilities. Good Shepherd Services provides the community a senior center
and nutrition program, a skilled nursing faciltiy, a home health agency,
a rehabilitiation agency, assisted living, and child care center.
Community residents utililize either the services of four Green Bay
Hospitals to the east or three Fox
Valley hospitals to
the south. Emergency trauma services via helicopter are also available
through Theda Clark Regional
Medical Center
in Neenah and Bellin and St. Vincent
